Programs and Services
Staying current with the search needs of the nation's community
colleges is an ongoing process. In years past, The Pauly Group has
added a variety of referencing programs and today appropriate
referencing can be accomplished for all personnel levels, from part-time
employees to senior level administrators.
In addition, depending on college needs, Pauly Group On-Campus services may include one
campus visit, two visits or have full in-person support with three visits.
Recruiting programs now include a one-time rental of
the Pauly Group master database for use by colleges who wish to conduct
their own mailings. New relationships and associations with
sources of highly qualified, diversified candidates are continually
being established. And the latest innovation in the search
process is in the area of technology.
Interactive
Teleconference Interviews
The newest addition to The Pauly Group services, interactive
teleconference interviews are now available. Using the campus telecommunications
network and Pauly Group
connections around the country, committee's can now communicate
"real time" with candidates without the expense of candidate travel.
Candidate
Videotaped Interviews
A recent addition to The Pauly
Group services, videotaped preliminary or semifinal interviews are
available. While on-campus interviews provide the most complete
review of each candidate, candidate videotape interviews are a viable
alternative for college districts with severely limited travel budgets.
Videotaped interviews are conducted
using a set of questions, approved by the search committee and president,
and are typically 30 minutes in length. The Pauly Group does not
coach candidates, provide candidates the interview questions in
advance, or offer candidates interpretation of the questions. Videotapes
become the property of the college.

Note: It is the policy of The Pauly Group to maintain
a consistent interview format for all semifinal and final candidates.
The mixing of on-campus, videotaped, and/or teleconference interviews
of semifinal and final candidates is generally prejudicial and strongly
discouraged.
Criminal and Civil
Background Checks
Perhaps a sad commentary
on our times, but more and more colleges have found a need to verify
more than just candidate credentials and professional recommendations.
Therefore, the Pauly Group
now offers full credit, civil and criminal background checks to
our colleges. Through an established relationship with a national
investigative service firm, the sensitive aspects of a candidate's
background can now be completely and discreetly verified.
